REGULATORY APPROVALS/CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
POWERPLANT PARK PHASE I CIVIL SITEPLAN
Phase I-A of the Park will include a model greenhouse, solutions center, (with a sales showroom, tasting room, education ctr. & super-critical CO2 extraction lab). Further Phase I-A buildings include a nursery, processing facility and 4 production greenhouses. The model greenhouse will allow PowerPlant the ability to gather critical intelligence for our Tenants under the same conditions that will exist in their own greenhouses(s). Our production team will test the latest in lighting & irrigation systems and related technologies, including nutrient inputs, grow medium, silicas, etc. Data that is invaluable for our craft-growers and will include actual plant-yields in this replicated environment. This information before making critical decisions about Greenhouse set-up and plant feeding.
On April 18th, 2019 PowerPlant Park was granted its CUP approvals and full entitlements to its 18.8 acre Park Site. These approvals by unanimous vote from the Planning Commission, (City of Richmond). This effort by PowerPlant spans over 28 months working closely with City/State officials. PowerPlant Park has raised over $2.4MM to complete these submissions. Our expedited grading permit will be received within the next 15 days, site work to begin shortly thereafter and the Park’s 1st tenants will begin Phase 1 occupancy in December 2019.
